Made with Japanese sake, neutral grain vodka and our cherry blossom blend our Sakura fllavoured liqueur has floral start with hints of cherry and with a perfectly balanced sweetness and a flavour that lingers.

On the nose you notice the sake and cherry overtones with a crisp dry finish.

The Tradition of Hanami.


Hanami “flower viewing” in Japanese is the traditional custom of enjoying the transient beauty of flowers mainly the cherry blossom or in Japanese “sakura” bloom.

The blossom forecast “sakura-zensen? or "cherry blossom front" is announced each year by the weather bureau, and is watched carefully by those planning hanami as the blossoms only last a week or two.

The Hanami starts in the Southern island of Okinawa and the spreads northward from February to early May and is a very popular event starting the spring and in old times announcing the rice-planting season.

Popularized by Emperor Saga of the Heian period who held flower-viewing parties and feasts underneath the blossoming cherry trees in the Imperial Court in Kyoto. Initially hanami was originally limited to the elite of the Imperial Court, but soon spread to samurai society.

Poems would be written praising the delicate flowers, which were seen as a metaphor for life itself, luminous and beautiful yet fleeting and ephemeral.

Hanamitini


60ml Hanami
60ml Sake

Add all in ice filled shaker, hard shake and strain into cocktail glass. garnish as seen fit

Arigato


30ml Brandy
30ml Hanami
15ml Särklass Sweet Orange Syrup
15ml Lime juice
4dash Primet Pomegranate

Put all ingredients into shaker, hard shake and then strain all into ice filled champagne flute.

Italian Spring


60ml Hanami
60ml Vodka
15ml Primet Amaretto

Add all in ice filled shaker, hard shake and strain into cocktail glass. garnish as seen fit

Day in the Park


1/8 Fresh Apple
1/8 Fresh Peach
1/8 Fresh Cucumber
45ml Hanami
45ml Sake
30ml Apple Juice

Add the cut fruit with the ice in large whiskey glass. Add Hanami, sake and apple juice into ice filled shaker. Shake and strain over the fruits and ice. Garnish and serve.

Hanami Tonic


45ml Hanami
Two dash of bitters
Top with Tall Brothers Tonic

In ice filled red wine glass highball glass add two dash of bitters, Hanami liqueur over ice and stir. Top with tonic water, garnish as seen fit and serve.

Parisian Madame


30ml Hanami
30ml Vodka
45ml Dry Vermouth
10ml Lemon Juice
10ml Aperol
Dash Bitter

Add all in ice filled shaker, hard shake and strain into cocktail glass. garnish as seen fit
